We will meet in Shenandoah National Park for an entire night under the stars during the Orionid Meteor Shower! We will capture the Milky Way over the changing leaves in Shenandoah National Park which is one of my favorite places to be in the Fall. I have spent the last 15 years visiting this park and know it very well. We will certainly have a great time while  visiting several locations during the night and we will also have time to create a few timelapse movies. This will be one fun night until the stars while the Orionid Meteor Shower peaks! This workshop contains minimal hiking, lots of stars and meteors! We will have a meet and greet Friday October 21st.

I am adding a second night to this workshop, 10/22 into 10/23 for the participants who have signed up for the first night. This is a special alumni discount for only an extra $150.00. The 2ns day / night will consist of fall landscape and another night sky photo shoot.

Shenandoah National Park is one of the most beautiful parks east of the Mississippi. Skyline drive winds through the mountains with stunning vistas and overlook along the way. The colors of autumn ignite the mountains given great views for us, and for it's wildlife. You will most likely see tons of deer and also the occasional black bear.  More times than not I see a bear in Shenandoah. They are fairly active this time of year as they prep for winter. I have encountered them in the back country several times with no issues and even at crowded campsites.  Please review Shenandoah National Parks safety information found here (

A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is due to reserve your spot on the trip. Full Payment must be made 60 days before the start of the workshop. For all the participants who join the first night, you have the option to join a 2nd night at a reduced rate! You have until September 1st, 2016  to decide if you would like to join the 2nd night.
