ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
This workshop will take place in the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina. We should have a tremendous opportunity to photograph some iconic landmarks of the OBX during our stay. We will visit the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse area the first night and the Bodie Island Lighthouse area the the second night and third nights. We will capture star trails, the milky way, timelapse videos and hopefully some meteors! We will also visit some other locations for milky way shots along the beaches, sand dunes and other areas along the coast including the Famous Avon Pier. The third night will be spent around Bodie Island Lighthouse and will give up another night to work with in case weather is an issue on a previous night.
The daytime hours will be spent catching up on sleep, downloading our images and recharging out batteries. We will also have the opportunity to edt images at a nearby hotel on afternoon. Video tutorials are also available to help you with my simple editing techniques.

A thunderstorm may sound bad, but a lighthouse with a huge lightning bolt and the milky way is another beautiful creature in itself. Be prepared for anything! We have 3 nights to work with and 4 days of photography in general!
You can make sleeping arrangements near Bodie Island Lighthouse and near Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Note that we will be shooting overnight when the milky way and stars are the brightest, so rooms may only be needed for rest in the daylight hours. Camping is also an option for you near Hatteras and Bodie. We will be in Buxton, NC the first night and at Bodie Island Lighthouse the second night.
