ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
You will have an entire night out under the moon and stars photographing various landscapes, seascapes and other iconic locations with the lunar eclipse as the grand finale at the end of the night. We will meet in the afternoon on November 18th to photograph some wildlife a lighthouse, and some coastal scenery before photographing November's full moon rising at sunset. Timelapse and star trail photography will also be demonstrated and executed during this workshop. You only need 1 camera, although 2 cameras will enable you to get wide shots of landscapes and close up shots of the moon without switching lenses. A telephoto lens of at least 200mm is best for this workshop. I have photographed many lunar eclipses in Pennsylvania , New Jersey, Hawaii, Death Valley, Yellowstone and many other locations. Some samples images from various locations are shown below. This will be simply stunning to see and a great way to spend a night out under the stars before the colder winter months settle in.
ABOUT THE MOON AND NIGHT SKY
The moon will be up all night, Full Moon photo ops at sunrise, overnight and at sunrise the morning of November 19th. We will also photograph the entire eclipse overnight and learn to create an eclipse progression panoramic during this workshop in addition to timelapse and star trail photography under moonlight. This eclipse will last just over 5 hours and we will photography it setting from a super special location!
CURRENT CAMPING / HOTEL INFORMATION
To keep our locations secret, I am not posting the locations on the webpage. This will limit others from finding where we will be! We will be in southern NJ that's all I can say at this point! Message me if you would like the exact location. A hotel room or camping reservation may not be needed since we will be out most of the night. We will have an opportunity to catch some sleep in our cars before the eclipse begins.
