ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
This workshop will teach you everything you need to know about how to take great photographs of the milky way, stars and meteor showers. We will also cover star trails, timelapse photography and light painting. The workshop will start at sunset and last into the wee hours in the morning. We typically call it a night around 3:00 am, but if we have poor sky conditions towards the beginning of the workshop, we will shoot later into the night to maximize our shooting experience. There is no shortage of photo locations to shoot from and PI have some new locations on the island that I haven visited with any past workshop group. You will have the option to join for (1) one night or (2) two nights. We will have new locations on each night, so being there both nights will give you the best tour of the islands and more subjects to photograph.

LODGING
Lodging can be found near Ocean City, Maryland or by camping on Assateague Island itself (pictured above). Reservations book far in advance. You can also car camp in the overflow parking lot if you wish, but these campsites are incredible. I have done it dozens of times, just can't get enough of it! We will be photographing the Maryland District of Assateague.

CAMERA GEAR
A full list of camera gear will be supplied to upon registering, the basics are a DSLR camera , wide/fast angle lens, a tripod and a cable release. Most gear that is used can be found on the workshop overview page.
DEPOSIT
A non-refundable deposit is due to reserve your spot on the trip. If you are a JBP Alumni you receive 20% OFF the ticket price. If you have to cancel for any reason, you will be issued the amount paid to a future workshop, no cash refunds once the payment has been accepted. A Transaction Fee is associated with the purchase of this ticket.
