ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Join us for an amazing night on Assateague Island as we capture the beauty of its night skies. We have so many unique places on the island to photograph and explore making this one fun night. I will also set up two (2) star trackers for the group to share and photograph the milky way in incredible fashion using a longer lens, with no star movement, or high ISO's. We will also be photographing the crescent moon during this workshop so make sure to bring a long lens if you have one between 200mm and 600mm. If you do not have one, please do not worry, the moon will only be up for just a short period of time giving us all night under moonless skies.

WEATHER
Expect warm weather, although late August can often bring cool weather and very low humidity. A weather outlook will be send 7 day prior to the workshop star date. A follow up email will be send 2 days before the start date. Typical temps are in the low 80s during the day, and the mid 60's at night.

LODGING
You can either camp at the Assateague Island National Seashore campgrounds or snag a place close by like Ocean City, Maryland. Campsites book far in advance, but they always open up, even the months, weeks and days before your specific date.

- Wide Angle Lenses for the night work (14mm - 35mm - FX equiv_)

- Graduated ND filter for landscapes and sunsets ( optional, but worth it)
- Cable release for long exposures
- Laptop, memory card reader, and memory cards
- Flashlight / Red Light
