ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
This workshop will teach you everything you need to know about how to take great photographs of the milky way, stars and meteor showers. We will also cover star trails, timelapse photography and light painting. The workshop will start in the afternoon and continue into sunrise the morning of the 3rd.
The Quadrantids only peak on 1 night and this is that night. Rates can exceed 200 meteor per hour as well. I have viewed this meteor shower in Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland, it has never let me down. There is a chance it could be cold out, but with the proper clothing choices, you will be just fine. A list of winter gear both for you person, and your gear will be supplied.

LODGING
Lodging can be found near Ocean City, Maryland or by camping on Assateague Island itself (pictured above). We will be up most of the night, but I have a group campsite for us which is included in the workshop for everyone in the group. I will be bringing my tent down; I hope you do too!

CAMERA GEAR
A full list of camera gear will be supplied to upon registering, the basics are a DSLR camera , wide/fast angle lens, a tripod and a cable release. Most gear that is used can be found on the workshop overview page.

A non-refundable deposit is due to reserve your spot on the trip. If you are a JBP Alumni you receive 20% OFF the ticket price. If you have to cancel for any reason, you will be issued the amount paid to a future workshop in workshop credit.. No cash refunds once the payment has been accepted.
