ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
You will have an entire night out under the moon and stars photographing various landscapes, seascapes and other iconic locations with the lunar eclipse. We will meet in the afternoon on March 13th, 2025, to photograph some wildlife and scout of shooting locations for the eclipse. Timelapse and star trail photography will also be demonstrated and executed during this workshop. You only need 1 camera, although 2 cameras will provide you with more opportunities. A telephoto lens of at least 200mm is recommended. I have photographed many lunar eclipses in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Hawaii, Death Valley, Yellowstone and many other locations across the US. Some samples images from various locations are shown below. This will be simply stunning to see and a great way to spend a night out under the stars. We also create a stunning panoramic image of the full eclipsed Moon and the milky way. You read that correctly, we will be able to see the milky way AND the fully eclipsed Moon at the same time. This is one celestial event that you simply do not want to miss!

ABOUT THE MOON AND NIGHT SKY
The moon will be up all night starting at our sunset / moonrise shoot over the ocean. The Full Moon photo ops at sunset, overnight with the milky way and at sunrise the morning of March 14th, 2025. We will photograph the entire eclipse overnight and learn to create an eclipse progression panoramic during this workshop in addition to timelapse and star trail photography under moonlight. This eclipse will last for several hours starting at midnight.
CURRENT CAMPING / HOTEL INFORMATION
We will be out most of the night, you can either camp on Assateague Island National Seashore or grab a hotel / motel 16 minutes away in Ocean City, Maryland.
