ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
This workshop is scheduled to take advantage of the annual Quadrantid Meteor Shower which in years past has produced hundreds and even thousands of meteor per hour. We can expect to see a constant flurry of meteors overnight, especially after midnight. It is still a wonderful meteor shower that has many "fireballs". We will meet before sunset and continue into the night, there is a built in break overnight to catch a cat nap if needed, in your car, or back at your hotel. This year the moon will be a "New Moon" with no moon interference at all. The Quadrantids can put out some bright fireballs that we do not want to miss, trust me! There are many things to photograph in southern New Jersey within a short walk or drive, and we will have a lot of fun getting to know our cameras, while capturing some amazing night sky photograph and shooting stars. The crescent Moon will set just after sunset, so we will also have a little time for crescent moon shots, and lighthouse shots before dark.
