ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
This workshop will teach you everything you need to know about how to take great photographs of the milky way, stars and meteor showers. We will also cover star trails, timelapse photography during the entire eclipse and you will have 2 day to pick my brain apart in the process! We will also do post processing in the field where we will all learn how to stitch together our eclipse shots. The workshop will start with sunset shots on the 14th followed by Full Moon Photography as we perfect our night photography skills for the big show the following night. With 20 years of experience camping on this island I know this will be yet another incredible experience for all of us.
SUPER BLOOD MOON | ANDROMEDA | A SHOOTING STAR AND OLD FAITHFUL
On our 2nd night will be have the Total Eclipse! We will view and photograph it in its entirety on the island. During maximum eclipse the sky will be as dark as it is with no moon at all! This will enable us to capture "new moon like" skies under a fully eclipse moon and allow us to photograph the moon surrounded with thousands of stars! The milky way will be rising during the total lunar eclipse phase, so there is also a unique opportunity to hopefully capture the milky way rising with the total eclipse too!

LODGING
Lodging can be found near Ocean City, Maryland or by camping at Assateague.. Reservations book far in advance. You can also car camp in the overflow parking lot. I have done it several times and it's quite relaxing too!
CAMERA GEAR
A full list of camera gear will be supplied to upon registering, the basics are a DSLR camera , wide/fast angle lens, a tripod and a cable release. Most gear that is used can be found on the workshop overview page.

A non-refundable deposit is due to reserve your spot on the trip.If you are a JBP Alumni you receive 20% OFF the ticket price. If you have to cancel for any reason, you will be issued the amount paid towards a future workshop, no cash refunds once the payment has been accepted. Transaction fees / service fees are included in the price.
