ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
This workshop will teach you everything you need to know about how to take great photographs of the milky way, stars and meteor showers. We will also cover star trails, timelapse photography and light painting. The workshop will start at sunset and go well into the night as we perfect our night photography skills. We will be close to a "New Moon" which means we will no interference from moonlight making the darkest night sky conditions here possible on this night. With over 15 years of experience camping on this island, I know the best spots to be, and at the right times, so get ready for a night full of fun and adventure on Assateague Islands along Maryland's eastern shores. We will also be able to view and photography the Perseid Meteor Shower which will still have a few shooting stars overnight.
On August 11th to 13th, bioluminescent waves were crashing along the shores of Assateague. This may continue into September, and it if does we will be sure to have some fun with that as well!

LODGING
Lodging can be found near Ocean City, Maryland or by camping at Assateague.. Reservations book far in advance. You can also car camp in the overflow parking lot. I have done it several times and it's quite relaxing too!

A full list of camera gear will be supplied to upon registering, the basics are a DSLR camera , wide/fast angle lens, a tripod and a cable release. Most gear that is used can be found on the workshop overview page.

If you have to cancel for any reason, you will be issued the amount paid towards a future workshop, no cash refunds once the payment has been accepted. The remaining balance option will be added to this page on 1.20.2019. The remaining balance is due by 2.1.2019. A Transaction Fee may be associated with the remaining balance option. Making the payment in full with have no transaction fees associated with it.
